Mr. Richard Tangye
Richard Tangye is the Executive Director of CIS. Richard has a degree in Economics and Politics from Cambridge University and, after a brief spell teaching in Papua New Guinea, joined the world of business. After working in North America for ten years, he has spent the past sixteen years with Jardine Matheson in Asia where, in addition to his business responsibilities, he has actively participated in school governance, new school building and advisory bodies on education. He has been Board Chair at the British International School in Jakarta, Taipei European School in Taiwan, and South Island School in Hong Kong. In this latter location he was a member of the Management Committee of the English Schools'Foundation, and Chair of the Teachers'Pay Review Committee.

Ms. Andrea Rohmert
Andrea Rohmert is the Executive Officer to the CIS Executive Director. In her current role, besides co-coordinating the comprehensive worldwide Board Governance programmes, she carries out membership visits in various parts of the world, and assists with the set up for new school projects.

Andrea holds three MA's in History, German and PE from the University Essen, Germany, has 11 years teaching experience in international schools, served as Board Chair on the ECIS Modern Foreign Language Committee for six years and was an active Board Member on the ECIS Board of Trustees' Professional Development Committee prior before joining the Council in April 2000.

She is a certified coach and communication trainer for education and the corporate world and holds the certificate for International School Leadership from the PTC – Principal's Training Center, USA.

She lives in London and frequently travels to member schools and organizes workshops in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.

Mr. Gerry Percy
Since the year 2000 Gerry Percy has been Director of Accreditation Services for the Council of International Schools (CIS), an organisation which emerged from the re-structuring of an older organisation the European Council of International Schools (ECIS). Previously Gerry was Deputy Director of the same Accreditation Service for three and a half years. CIS accredits 202 international schools in 85 countries, and has a further 100 institutions currently seeking accreditation.

Gerry is a graduate of the University of Keele UK, where he also obtained his teaching qualification and a Ph.D. in Chemistry. After teaching in England he spent 24 years as a teacher and administrator in MadridSpain, eventually becoming Headmaster at King's College - a large British-style international school.

The Percy family now lives in Toulouse in South West France, from where Gerry travels frequently on accreditation visits to schools in many countries. He also maintains regular working contact with the CIS headquarters in Petersfield UK, the Accreditation Office in MadridSpain, and his immediate Accreditation Officer colleagues in Northern Spain, Central Italy, Singapore and Florida USA.
