DUSSELDORF 2004 on Education for International Mindedness
The Düsseldorf was hosted at the International School of Düsseldorf, bringing together around 200 delegates from 5 continents, all with the intention of discussing the issue of International Education.
There were two enlightening keynote speeches, which was highlighted by the keynote address from Dr. Betty Chan, Director of the Yew Chung Education Foundation, the first Chinese representative from the field of International Education to address the Alliance.

"Educating the 21st Century Child: A New Approach to International Education" by Dr. Betty Chan Po-king, Director of the Yew Chung Education Foundation
Strand Sessions:
Throughout the 2004 Conference, each participant worked with others in a strand, giving time and contributing to the group process and reaping far more than the new awareness created by the individual presentations within the strand. Every strand evolved into rich tapestries of stories, shared practices, reflections and discoveries. Here are the seven strands, their description and the summary of their discussions.
